psychological counseling and the advantages of online counselling

In my online practice, you don't have to wait long. An initial consultation is possible after just a few days.

There are no fixed office hours and you have the opportunity to take advantage of the online consultation from anywhere. After consultation also on public holidays and weekends.

Another benefit is anonymity. It is not uncommon for it to be an effort to visit a psychological practice.

Unpleasant encounters are thus avoided and there is no note in your medical record.

As in psychotherapy, online counseling is of course also subject to confidentiality.

The effectiveness of psychological online counseling has now been proven by a large number of international studies.

However, there are limits to online counseling.

The psychological online counseling does not constitute psychotherapy within the meaning of the Psychotherapist Act. This is a protected term and may currently only be carried out in personal contact under German law.

Online counseling can be used alongside therapy (talk to your doctor or therapist about this) or while you are waiting for a place in therapy.

In some cases, however, online counseling is not the right or appropriate support, which is why I reserve the right to refuse certain requests.

About me

Always interested in psychology, I fulfilled my heart's desire in 2021 by training as an alternative practitioner for psychotherapy.

In order to give as many people as possible access to psychological support, I have specialized in online counseling.

Nowadays almost everyone has a computer or smartphone with access to the internet. Online counseling picks up right here and offers many people an easier and faster way to get psychological support. In order to be able to offer professional and, if possible, qualitative advice, I have completed the following additional training:

  • Client-centered interviewing according to Carl Rogers

(The client-centered interviewing according to Rogers is based on the humanistic view that everyone has the innate ability to develop, to analyze their situation and to work out solutions to problems. In order to awaken these natural competencies, the therapist according to Rogers has three basic attitudes towards the Client: unconditional positive regard; empathy and congruence in attitude.)

  • toxic relationships

(Although humans are relational beings, some connections are not good for us. When do we speak of so-called "toxic relationships"? When are they destructive and how can you get rid of them?)

  • narcissism

(Recognizing and understanding narcissistic personality; familial narcissism and narcissistic relationships.)

  • the inner child

(Everyone carries their "inner child" for a lifetime. With all its imprints, traumatizations and associated feelings. Working with the inner child can be seen as a kind of journey to yourself, in which old wounds and beliefs are uncovered and be reconsidered.)

  • solution-oriented short-term therapy according to S. de Shazer

(The aim is to activate the strengths and resilience of clients with which they can find and implement concrete solutions to their problem. The short-term therapy according to S. de Shazer starts from the point of view that it is more helpful to focus on wishes, goals , resources and exceptions to the problem rather than problems and their origins.)

  • Psycho-oncological advice (according to the specifications of the German Cancer Society)

(Psycho-oncological counseling can help cancer patients to mobilize existing resources and to find a new orientation. The greatest concern is to restore and maintain quality of life. Both during and after an illness.)
